Level 2 verses Level 1
Every electric vehicle comes with a (level 1) charger for home charging of their EV. Level 1 chargers can take 40-50 hours to charge a light-duty BEV from empty, 5-8 hours to charge an electric motorcycle , and 5-6 hours to charge a PHEV. Vast majority of EV owners upgrade to a Level 2 chargers that can charge a BEV to 80 percent from empty in 4-10 hours and a PHEV in 1-2 hours. Insuring the status for their daily commuting needs. Ameren EV Incentives 2024
Ameren Missouri is now offering incentives for businesses seeking to install EV charging stations at workplaces, multi-family apartment buildings and in publicly accessible locations.
Program Details:
Open to most Ameren Missouri business customers
Ameren Missouri must pre-approve projects prior to construction
Total incentive allowed for affiliated businesses of $500,000
Incentive of $5,000 per Level 2 charging port (40amp max)
Incentive of $20,000 per DCFC charging port (50kW nominal max)
Maximum incentive is up to 50% of total project cost
Incentive applications will be accepted through September 30, 2024, or until the remaining funds are exhausted (whichever comes first).
